How do I commission a portrait?
Begin by filling out the Inquiry Form or place your order directly. Share your pet’s name, a few reference photos, and select the medium that best suits your vision - oil painting, digital drawing, or custom greeting card.
If all commission slots are currently filled, you may subscribe to the newsletter to be notified when bookings reopen.
How long does a portrait take?
Most portraits are completed within 6–8 weeks from booking.
Oil paintings may take a little longer (10-12 weeks) due to the layered, slow-drying nature of the medium. If you're commissioning for a special occasion, early inquiry is encouraged.
Can I request revisions?
Digital drawings and greeting cards include a soft proof upon request, with one round of light revisions included.
For oil paintings, due to the nature of the medium, revisions are not typically possible once painting begins - but I’ll work closely with you in the early stages to ensure clarity and alignment.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies by size, medium, and complexity. Prices are listed on each product page, or you’ll receive a custom quote after submitting your inquiry.
Full payment is required to reserve your commission slot.
Payment plans are available via Klarna.
How do you create the portraits?
I paint/draw each portrait by hand. I do not use AI, CGI or filters.
• the oil paintings are created traditionally on gessobord or archival paper.
• the digital drawings and greeting cards are drawn by hand using a Wacom tablet in Photoshop (once complete, they’re printed on museum-quality paper, guaranteed to last over 100 years).

What kind of reference photos do you need?
Please upload 3-7 high-resolution, well-lit images that clearly show your pet’s features.
Close-ups and full-body shots are both welcome - front-facing or three-quarter views taken at eye level work best.
Please make sure that the face and at least upper part of the body are shown clearly.
One main reference photo will be used for the portrait. If you have a preference, do let me know which you'd like me to use.
Cancellations & Returns
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase by emailing: studio@noirdelights.co.uk
After 24 hours, you are committed to your order.
As each piece is created by hand and tailored to your request, returns and refunds are not accepted. I do not issue refunds.
If you experience any issues with your order, please do get in touch - I'll do my best and will gladly work with you to resolve any concerns.
Shipping & Customs
Complimentary, tracked worldwide shipping is included with all custom orders.
• Oil portraits are shipped directly by me from the UK.
• Digital drawings are printed and shipped by a professional print studio closest to your location - US, UK, AU, or EU*
• Greeting cards are shipped by a professional print studio from the UK.
Lost orders or damaged products - All orders are shipped with full tracking. In the rare event that your parcel is delayed or arrives damaged, please contact me - I’ll gladly assist in resolving the issue with care and attention.
Customs and import taxes - Please note that buyers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes that may apply. Unfortunately, I cannot take responsibility for delays caused by customs processing.
