Each digital portrait begins at the artist’s desk - drawn entirely by hand using:
• A Wacom tablet, stylus and thoughtfully layered strokes to evoke a clean, modern pencil aesthetic — no filters, no AI, just craftsmanship
In partnership with a specialist print studio, your portrait is brought to life on museum-quality materials:
• Giclée printed with archival inks, designed to preserve colour and vibrancy for over 100 years
• Choice of fine art paper:
– Unframed: Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308 gsm, 100% cotton)
– Framed: Archival matte paper (200 gsm), paired with a wood frame, mount and perspex glaze

To ensure your portrait arrives swiftly and safely, I work with a professional fine art printer who prints, packages, and ships your artwork locally -from the US, UK, EU, or AU, depending on your location. They use eco-conscious packaging: minimal, recyclable, and protective.
Digital Drawing FAQ
How long does a digital portrait take?
Digital drawings are typically completed within 6–8 weeks from booking.
These portraits are drawn by hand with care and attention to detail. If you’re commissioning one as a gift or for a special date, I recommend reaching out early to ensure timely delivery.
Can I request revisions?
Digital portraits come with a soft proof upon request, and include one round of light refinements - to ensure everything feels just right.
What kind of reference photos do you need?
Please upload 3-7 high-resolution, well-lit images that clearly show your pet’s features.
Close-ups and full-body shots are both welcome - front-facing or three-quarter views taken at eye level work best.
Please make sure that the face and at least upper part of the body are shown clearly.
One main reference photo will be used for the portrait. If you have a preference, do let me know which you'd like me to use.
How do you create these drawings?
Each digital drawing and greeting card is carefully hand-drawn on my Wacom tablet using Photoshop — no filters, no shortcuts. You can see glimpses of the process on my Instagram. Once complete, your portrait is professionally printed on museum-quality paper with a 100+ year colour guarantee, then shipped to your door.
Cancellations and returns
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase by emailing: studio@noirdelights.co.uk
After 24 hours, you are committed to your order.
As each piece is created by hand and tailored to your request, returns and refunds are not accepted. I do not issue refunds.
If you experience any issues with your order, please do get in touch - I'll do my best and will gladly work with you to resolve any concerns.
Shipping & Customs - Digital Drawings
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — complimentary, fully tracked worldwide shipping is included with every bespoke order. I use a professional printer service that prints and ships your portrait to you.
• the Digital Portraits will ship from the US, UK, EU or AU ( depending on your location).
*The 5x7 frame is unavailable in Australia; when ordered, it will ship from the UK.
*8x10 size is unavailable in AU - if ordered it will be replaced with A4.
Lost or damaged orders
All portraits are shipped with full tracking. In the rare event that your parcel is delayed or arrives damaged, please contact me — I’ll gladly assist in resolving the issue with care and attention.
Customs and import taxes - Please note that buyers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes that may apply. Unfortunately, I cannot take responsibility for delays caused by customs processing.
